The Indian economy has two different structures. On the one hand, there is the modern and globally competitive knowledge-based services sector, and on the other hand, there is the agricultural sector whose yield depends on rainfall. Although the manufacturing sector could not reach sufficient levels for a long time due to low quality, this situation has started to change in recent years. As a result of the strong growth in the services sector, the share of the sector in the gross domestic product exceeded 57 percent, the share of the agricultural sector was 18 percent, and the share of the industry was around 27 percent.
