Kırşehir is a modest city in the Central Anatolia Region. Historical places are close to each other and within walking distance. The first stop of our trip was Aşık Pasha Tomb. In this tomb is the tomb of Aşıkpaşa, a Sufi folk poet who defended the richness of Turkish. After Aşık Pasha Tomb, we visited Cacabey Madrasa. This place was built as an observatory and a madrasah, but was later converted into a mosque. Inside, there is a well in the middle of the courtyard and there is a lighthouse above it. It is thought that this was used to study the stars. When you turn left after entering the mosque, you can go down one floor by stairs. There is also a tomb downstairs. This tomb belongs to Cacabey. Ahi Evran Mosque is another historical structure of Kırşehir. It was built in the name of Ahi Evran, the founder of the Ahi Organization. Ahi Evran’s tomb is located here. After Ahi Evran Mosque, we can add Alaaddin Mosque to our list of places to visit. It was built by Alaaddin Keykubat. It is an example of Seljuk architecture. Places to visit in Kırşehir are not limited to these. Kent Park, which we learned has become a favorite place in Kırşehir in a short time, is also worth seeing. It can be seen as a breathing space for Kırşehir with its pools, bridges and walking paths. There are many activities for children too. It has become a heart-warming park with colorful roses and dozens of flower varieties. You may feel like you are in a flower garden like in a fairy tale. Eating and drinking is also quite affordable in Kırşehir. If you want to have something to drink after your meal, there are cafes of the municipality in the square where Cacabey Madrasa is located.
