Bolivia is one of the countries where many languages are spoken, thanks to its multicultural structure. That’s why 36 official languages are defined in the Bolivian Constitution. Among these, Spanish is considered the first language as it can be spoken by approximately 89 percent of the people in the country. In addition, for many indigenous people groups it is the second language after their own language. All documents related to state administration, private and legal institution correspondence, media and advertising activities are all in Spanish. Another most spoken language in the country is Quechua, with 28 percent according to 2001 reports. Aymara follows this with 18 percent.
